I am Kairavi Bhargav and I have done my schooling from The Shri Ram School, Aravali. I am currently doing Mathematics Honors from Jesus and Mary College. Working with Fortis Foundation was a great experience as it helped me understand how dedicated they are towards their efforts and are motivated to Make a Difference!
It was an enriching experience to work with the Fortis Foundation. I worked for the program `SEWA’ where I had an opportunity to work on the Dispensaries and Out Patient Departments (OPD’s) model. I would recommend each one of you to go to spare some time and volunteer with the foundation.

I volunteered with Fortis Foundation for the month of June, 2016. I spent my time working on Patient Information Literature (PIL) for Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) and Cleft Lip. I was associated with the program AANCHAL where I was working on data analysis for 1100 CHD surgeries supported by the foundation. Overall I really enjoyed my time with the Foundation. This was my first exposure to any kind of voluntary/ internship program. The kind of work I was involved with was highly motivating and satisfying. I felt like I was able to make a difference in my own way. My favorite part of the internship was the patient interaction and working closely with senior doctors to develop PIL’s. I want to study medicine and become a doctor, this experience reaffirmed my decision to do so.
Working at the Fortis Foundation (FF) was a very rewarding and insightful experience. I worked mainly with the SEWA program in developing a detailed presentation on Out Patient Department (OPD) clinics. Through this process, I learnt a lot about the clinics but more importantly about the impact they have on the communities they are serving. Undoubtedly my highlight of this volunteer experience was when I visited the OPD Clinic at Birla Mandir in New Delhi. Seeing first-hand the benefit this clinic made to its community made all the work I was doing even more meaningful. The people I met and worked with were very supportive and were very passionate about this cause. Overall, I had an incredible experience working at the FCF and would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to donate their time to such a meaningful cause.
I had a wonderful 4 weeks at the Foundation. Was asked to create Patient Information Literature and had great fun doing that. I also got to go to the hospital to meet the recipients. The people in the Foundation were really nice and made my stay comfortable and right at home. A great learning and felt good doing something to reach people in need. Would love to do it again and plan to do so.

My internship at Fortis Foundation has really been a memorable experience for me. Even though it was only for 15 days, the journey was quite intriguing. From the first day itself I was pretty excited about the internship and I feel glad and proud that I was able to spend some time of mine and work with the underprivileged children.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with Fortis Foundation. I was working with children who are suffering from Congenital Heart Defects. I came across a patient ,Faran who came for a surgery - Every time I look at his picture it makes me happy from the inside and I tend to forget things for a certain time period.

My experience at Fortis Foundation was an eye-opener. After working with Fortis Foundation I will now appreciate the things I have in life. While I closely worked with some of the under privileged children, staying with these children made me realize what it is like in the real world and how difficult it is to survive facing the daily challenges of life. The smile on the children's face, seeing them recover from a life threatening disease in front of my eyes will be something I will cherish for the rest of my life
