Rotary Heartline Project initiated by Rotary Club of Chandigarh in 1999 is club’s signature project aimed at providing free heart surgery to children and young men and women up to the age of 25 years. Fortis Hospital Mohali became the partner hospital for this project in 2005 and since then has saved lives of 450 children not only from India, but also from Afghanistan, Iraq, Malawi, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda and Uganda.
Rotary Club of Chandigarh made a commitment ‘let no child suffering from congenital cardiac disease die for want of money’, and it continues to raise money to support this project through their personal contributions, organizing fund-raising events, and many other philanthropic initiatives.
Rotary Club of Chandigarh is grateful to the management and the team of doctors working with Dr. T.S. Mahant, Executive Director, CTVS, Fortis Hospital Mohali, for gifting life to hundreds of children.
