Bhatt Isna was born in Kupwara district of Kashmir. Her father Salim Ahmad Bhatt is a 27 year old who owns a small mobile store in Kashmir. He has no fixed income. Isna is a shy girl who loves to play with her younger brother and enjoys eating chocolates.
Sakeena had a complicated pregnancy as she had high Blood Pressure (BP) while she was carrying Isna. When Isna was 2 months old, she would vomit while being breast fed. Her parents took her to a Government Hospital, where the doctors put hera on medication. However, after 2 years her condition deteriorated and she started turning pale. Salim sought help from an Anganwadi school in their village.
In August 2017, a health camp was conducted by Rotary Club at a Government Hospital in Srinagar. The Anganwadi workers contacted the family and asked them to take Isna for a medical examination. This health camp was led by Dr. Iyyer from Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (FEHI), Okhla, New Delhi. The medical team conducted an Echocardiography test and found out that Isna had a Congenital Heart Defect.
Isna had a successful AV Canal Repair surgery in FMRI on 10th January 2018, with the support of Rotary Club, Delhi and Fortis Foundation.
